🔥🔥Paralympian in the making 🔥🔥

Shout out to one of our own Shannan Sykes coach of our U16 Girls Swish team for his incredible achievements with his Para sports.

This coming October Shannan will be representing Australia in the Para sitting Volleyball World Cup in Fort Wayne, Indiana USA.

2025 Achievments so far…
Shannan has
Represented Australia in the Asian Zonal Championships in China, placing 7th in Para sitting Volleyball. This team was the most successful Australian men’s team in history.

Played AFL wheelchair football for Richmond Football Club, and the team is currently undefeated for the season.

2024 Achievments Shannan,
Represented Victoria in the wheelchair AFL National Championships in Brisbane. Placed 4th overall

Played wheelchair AFL for St Kilda Football Club

Competed in the Oceania Para Standing Tennis Tournament in Melbourne.

For the past three years Shannan has played wheelchair basketball through Kilsyth Basketball Association as well as run the skills program with new wheelchair users.

Shannans current goal is to get to the LA Paralympics in 2028 competing in sitting volleyball.
